Today's Word

What to do when all seems lost

When everything goes wrong and you see no way out of your problems, what do you do? Believe in God! God has the power to save you. He will never abandon you!

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

- Ephesians 3:12

Confidence in Christ will give you strength and the ability to face life's difficulties with courage and wisdom. God wants you to trust in Him wholeheartedly, surrendering to Him everything that frightens and causes you anxiety. Free from fear and worries, you will be able to cling to what can truly provide you with a way out: Jesus Christ!

He is our firm hope, like an anchor for the soul. Able to sustain us even when the boat of life is adrift in a storm. Hold on to Jesus, He is the eternal rock that never falters!

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

- Hebrews 10:23

Remember: There is NO door that God cannot open. Trust in Him, pray for help, and He will assist you.

Put your trust in the Lord and make Him your security. He takes care of you!

Jesus lifted us up

Jesus brought us the most precious gift: the rescue from eternal sleep. Before knowing Him, we were spiritually asleep, lost in the shadows of sin and separation from God. But He came as the light that breaks through the darkness.

Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus offered all of us the opportunity to awaken to eternal life. He rescued us from the grip of spiritual death so that we could experience redemption and salvation.

Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was the price paid to free us from the eternal sleep of sin. Now, we have the chance to live an abundant life in communion with God, awake to His infinite grace and love.

May we always remember Jesus’ gracious rescue, and may our hearts be full of gratitude for Him, who awakened us to the hope of eternal life by His side. Jesus is our light, our salvation, and our source of eternal life.

The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
- Mark 9:26-27

What Jesus did for us is similar to what He did for this boy. Before we met Christ, we were like dead, separated from God by sin. But Christ reached out His hand toward us and saved our lives. Today we can stand before God the Father and thank Him for all Jesus has done for us!

How to get rid of resentment

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
- Ephesians 4:32

Forgiving is not easy, but living with resentment is the worst option. Resentment robs us of joy and makes life bitter.

If you hold on to resentment, you will see that it will destroy your life. However, the Bible teaches us to get rid of this unpleasant and negative feeling through forgiveness. When you forgive, you choose to let go of bitterness and leave justice in God’s hands. Forgiveness heals wounds and restores relationships.

Is there a relationship you need to restore? Pray to God to fill you with love and help you forgive. Remember that forgiveness is not optional: God calls us to forgive just as He forgave us.

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.
- Mark 11:25–26 (NKJV)

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
- Colossians 3:12–13

Cast out resentment and let God transform your life. Learn to forgive with Jesus’ help and live more joyfully!
