Being a young believer isn't always easy. Doubts, pressures, difficult choices... But God is with you! God wants to bless you and has special plans for you.

If you're young and need encouragement, these verses are for you:

1. You are strong!

I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one

"I write to you, dear children,
because you know the Father.
I write to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
because you are strong,
and the word of God lives in you,
and you have overcome the evil one."
1 John 2:14

You may feel weak, but God says you are strong! Your strength is in God. With Jesus' help, you will win.

2. You can make a difference

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."
1 Timothy 4:12

You don't have to be famous, rich, influential, or exceptionally intelligent to make a difference. The way you live can make a difference and be a great testimony to many people.

3. Have Courage!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

"9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

Joshua was young and had a great responsibility: to lead a new generation into the Promised Land. God did not abandon him. Joshua remained faithful to God and conquered everything in his path. Take heart, God is with you!

4. Be happy!

You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

"You who are young, be happy while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart
and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things
God will bring you into judgment."
Ecclesiastes 11:9

The Bible is not just about rules and restrictions. God wants you to be happy and enjoy life! Dream, have adventures, seize opportunities! But in all of this, remember God. With God, you can truly enjoy the most important things in life.

5. God loved you first 💖

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5

God chose to love you first and foremost! He had already planned the best for you. He loved you and has already proved his love through Jesus. God's love for you transcends time!

6. God gives you wisdom and intelligence 🤓

To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds

"To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds."
Daniel 1:17

God can give you the intelligence and wisdom to achieve great things! Just like Daniel, it is possible to succeed at school, college, and work. We also need this wisdom to do God's will. Don't be ashamed to be what God wants you to be. Ask God for this wisdom and He will surely give it to you!

7. Do everything for the glory of God! ☝️

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

Whatever we do, whether small or great, let it be done for the honor and glory of the Lord. Use your gifts and talents to glorify the name of the Lord.

8. Be rich... in the right way!

Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.

"Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
do not trust your own cleverness."
Proverbs 23:4

We live in a world where wealth and material goods are the things that matter most: a culture of ostentation. Young people are bombarded by stimuli on social media. Pressures to get rich and "get ahead", but nothing is more important than, as Jesus says, accumulating treasures in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 6:19-21). And only by following Christ will this be possible.

9. It's worth walking with God

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.

"Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord."
Psalm 119:1

We undoubtedly suffer many temptations and often wonder whether it's worth being 'holy', especially because of the pressure the world puts on us. We may feel sometimes like we're missing out on the good part of life, that we can't be happy, but that's not true. Happy is he who walks in the ways of the Lord! Holiness is worth your effort.

10. A wise young man seizes opportunities

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone

"5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."
Colossians 4:5-6

Young man, your life has to be a good testimony for Christ. Stand firm, be wise, and be nice to those who have not yet accepted Jesus. Your behavior and actions can influence other young people in your environment. Our attitudes can influence for good!

11. Being young is not being immature

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever

"My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever."
Psalm 73:26

The Bible shows us many young people who stood out despite their age: Ruth, Samuel, Joseph, Joshua, and David, among others. God knows the strength of youth. He knows that we can go through doubts and transformations, but he is with us. Don't let age stop you from doing God's will. He is the strength of your heart.

12. God gave us superpowers! 💪

I can do all this through him who gives me strength

"I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
Philippians 4:13

What defines a superhero is having superpowers. With Jesus, we have real superpowers. He has given us the authority to cast out demons, heal the sick, and save the captives. All this power comes from God, through Jesus. Strengthen yourself in God's power!

13. The joy of the Lord is our strength ⚡️

Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

"Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Nehemiah 8:10b

True joy, that is, the joy that comes from the Lord, strengthens us. The Word of God is our spiritual energizer! When we drink from the Word, we receive strength and enthusiasm to progress in faith. Don't give sadness and discouragement a chance, drink the Word of God and be full of energy!

Young people, never forget: God is with you!
