Hope in God is not based on mere human expectations or external circumstances. When we trust in the Lord, the Holy Spirit increases our hope, which is entirely based on Jesus Christ.

Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.‘This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself‘"

- Matthew 22:37-39

God must be loved wholly. He is unique and incomparable! This means we must dedicate our entire being to Him in a relationship of love, friendship, obedience, and worship. Those who do not love their neighbor cannot claim to love God. God is love and desires that we love one another without hypocrisy or selfishness.

The priority of these two commandments in a Christian's life is the foundation of their faith. Follow the example of Jesus in character, truth, obedience, and especially in love for the Father and for people.

1 Corinthians 1:18

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

- 1 Corinthians 1:18

The message of the cross is central to Christianity, and it is also the manifestation of God’s power to rescue us. The power of God in the death of Christ consists of His acceptance of the human sacrifice and violence against His Son to save those who believe in Him from death.

Through the Word of the Cross, we receive salvation. It is through faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the means of our salvation that we are redeemed and reconciled with God.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

- 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

The grace of God is sufficient for us to face any situation. Whatever the challenge, weakness, or difficulty that comes, God is able to sustain and strengthen us. Because of love and faith in Christ, we should rejoice in the difficulties of life, for in this way we identify with Him in our weaknesses, and receive His glorious power.

When we are weak, we are truly strong because the power of God is made perfect in weakness. He sustains us and manifests in us, granting victory.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Time is a precious element in our lives. Our lives have a specific time, and thus we need to value and make the best use of the time given to us by God. The existence of time also reminds us that there are different seasons and purposes in life. There are moments of joy and sadness, of planting and harvesting, of building and destroying. But God is the Lord of time and fulfills His agenda under the heavens.

- 1 Samuel 16:7

God sees the heart and rejects worldly expectations. He values a person's character, sincerity, faith, and love more than their physical, financial, or intellectual attributes.

God teaches us to have the right values, considering what truly matters in life. Look beyond appearances and do not overvalue external attributes. Have a heart that is whole and pleasing to God. Love and respect people for who they are, not for how they appear.

Seek the wisdom and discernment of God. Our limited vision can be influenced by appearances, leading to poor judgments, but God has a perfect and comprehensive view. He knows you perfectly and understands the deepest intentions of your heart. That is what truly matters in the end!

Present all your requests to the Lord in prayer, thanksgiving, and supplication. Have a surrendered heart, knowing that He is willing to listen to us and care for us.

Enjoy unparalleled peace! When we give our worries to God and trust in Him, we are graced with a deep soul satisfaction that goes beyond human understanding.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
