Prayer is one of the main ways to develop intimacy with God. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16), and it is one of the main weapons of the believer in Jesus.
To pray is to talk with God, to share with Him our desires, our uncertainties, our joys - everything! When we pray from the heart, we can receive the comfort, peace, and love of the Father.
We can be joyful because God always hears the prayer of those who approach Him with humility.
These Bible verses about the power of prayer are the perfect Scriptures to boost your faith and get you praying!

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
- James 1:5-8

When we ask in doubt, it leads to instability but when we ask with unwavering faith it unlocks the wisdom and direction God desires to give.

And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’” And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
