Life isn't always easy and sometimes you may want to give up on your faith. But the Bible has all the right words for when you feel like giving up. Find the encouragement you need in these verses:

1. God is with you

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Deuteronomy 31:8

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

You are never alone! God does not abandon his children, not even in the most difficult times.

2. Victory is coming

"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
1 John 4:4

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4

You are a child of The Almighty God, the Creator of all that exists, who overcame even death! God is greater than your difficulties and will help you overcome them.

3. God is faithful

"God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?"
Numbers 23:19

“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" Numbers 23:19

God has promised to help you, and He doesn't lie. His Word does not fail, if he says it, it will come true! Trust in God!

4. Pray in the Holy Spirit

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jude 1:20

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, Jude 1:20

If you need more strength, ask God for it. Prayer brings you closer to God and helps you move forward.

5. You can do it!

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."
2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Jesus is your strength. In your weakest moments, God's power will sustain you. If you trust in Jesus, you will not be destroyed!

6. The silver lining

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4

Stay firm in your faith in Jesus, trials should not stop you. Trials play a very important role in our faith, that of developing perseverance so that we can keep going in the most difficult times.

Hold on tight and keep going strong in Jesus Christ, don't abandon your faith.

7. All the blessings are already yours

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Ephesians 1:3

Did you know that you already have all the blessings that God could give you? Yes, the Lord has already blessed you with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus.

This means that being a follower of Christ gives you all the blessings there are. This doesn't mean that life will be easy, that you'll have lots of money, or that no illness will strike you, but that in Christ and Eternity, what you already have is the best.

8. Jesus is the light of our lives

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:3-5

See the importance and depth of who Jesus is: through him all things are made, he is the light for us and no darkness can extinguish him.

Illuminate your life with Jesus Christ, let him shine into every dark corner of your life, and gain renewal and restoration. Just as he made all things, he can remake what is broken inside you. Have faith and trust in Christ.

Don't be discouraged!
