Have you ever stopped to think about all the good things God has given you? The simple fact that you can read this is already a reason to be thankful. There are many people who cannot read or see. We are privileged! But if we are honest, sometimes we focus more on our problems or on what we don’t have, instead of expressing our gratitude to God for what we do have.
Let’s look at some verses of thanksgiving that encourage us to show gratitude to the Lord for all that He has done, for all that He is doing and, for all that He will continue to do - let's remember the goodness of our God!
1. Psalm 75:1
"We praise you, God,
we praise you, for your Name is near;
people tell of your wonderful deeds."

Look around you, see how much life and beauty God has created for our joy. The universe is the Lord's work, everything He has made for His glory. Let's Express gratitude to God without fear.
2. Psalm 103:22
"Praise the Lord, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.Praise the Lord, my soul."

All of nature praises God by fulfilling the purpose for which it was created. You too are God's work! Worship the Creator with gratitude and love... this is one of the purposes for which you were created. Let us have a spirit of thankfulness in our everyday life.
3. Psalm 118:21
"I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
you have become my salvation."

God created us and has been taking care of all his creation ever since. Forget the idea that God is absent or distant, He is always present. Jesus came to be our salvation forever! Let us transform our life with gratitude.
4. Psalm 57:9-10
"9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies."- Psalm 57:9-10
The Lord reigns over all the nations of the earth. Above all human governments, the Creator has dominion and establishes His sovereign will. Praise be to Jesus Christ, Lord of all peoples!
5. Psalm 145:9-10
"9 The Lord is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made.
10 All your works praise you, Lord;
your faithful people extol you."- Psalm 145:9-10
The Lord is good for everyone! Yes, for everyone without exception! Even for those who don't recognize it... God is good and has compassion on all his creation. May all who love the Lord be faithful and give him constant praise! Let us deepen our relationship with God through gratitude.
6. Psalm 107:31
"Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind."

The Creator of the entire universe cares about all His deeds, but He has a special love for human beings. He made us different from all created beings so that we would be more like Him. His loyal love knows no end! He has done and is doing wonders on our behalf. He came to us and gave himself to us, out of love!
7. Psalm 139:14
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well."

Stop for a moment (right now!) and consider God's marvelous deeds... Be convinced of this: everything He has done is wonderful! Praise Him and be grateful that He has done something wonderful for you too. This makes you very special to God. Be grateful to the Creator for all this on this day!

There are many circumstances in life that can cause us anxiety. However, our focus should not be on them, but on Jesus and His power to transform them. We can bring our requests to Him, giving thanks because we know that He has helped us so far and will continue to do so. As we focus on the power of God, His peace flows freely and helps us see things from a divine perspective.
10. Ephesians 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

God's heart rejoices when we praise Him and thank Him for all His blessings. There is no one more generous than God; He has given us everything related to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3), and our gratitude should never cease.
We bless and exalt God when we recognize everything He has granted us through Christ. It is in Him that we have salvation, and by His grace, we have received the spiritual gifts He gives to all who accept Him as Lord and Savior.
11. James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

The days pass by, and we don't stop to think about the great blessing it is to be able to breathe, see, hear, walk, and speak... There are so many things we do automatically because we are human, and that's just how we are. But it is God who delights in giving us health, family, friends, salvation through Jesus, and everything good that is in our lives. Let us not allow the daily hustle and the problems we face to prevent us from having a thankful heart that recognizes all the blessings in our lives.
12. Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

The greatest gift we have ever received is the salvation of our souls. God has already granted it to us through the death of Jesus on the cross. He paid the price for our sins, and thanks to His sacrifice, we have been forgiven and reconciled with God (Romans 5:1-2). Let us accept His gift by faith and allow God to transform us more and more each day into His image. Let us never forget to thank the Father for the eternal life He has given us in Christ.
13. Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

There is a big difference between doing things out of obligation and doing them motivated by a thankful heart that seeks to honor and please God. Not only is it more pleasant for those around us, but we also benefit physically and spiritually.
What does it mean to "do everything in the name of Jesus"? It means that we are His representatives before the people we interact with daily. If they see Jesus in me, if I treat them as He desires and do it wholeheartedly, not begrudgingly, I glorify Him, and I act from a transformed heart full of love.
14. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

As children of God, we always find something to thank God for, even in situations that hurt or confuse us. We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28), and we move forward confidently. It’s not that we deny our pain, but in the midst of that pain, we experience His peace and know that He has a purpose.
Sometimes, when we look back, we see that it was precisely in the most painful or difficult moments that we experienced the power and nearness of God more clearly. Let us keep our spirit alert to God’s presence and goodness, and never stop thanking Him.
15. Colossians 1:11-14
11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified youto share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Gratitude helps us to persevere and allows us to remember who we are in Jesus. Thanks to the work of Christ, we belong to the kingdom of light. This is our inheritance from the very moment we surrender our hearts to Jesus and receive Him as Savior.
The darkness, with all its oppression, no longer has power over us. We have been redeemed through Jesus, and His light guides our path in every situation. God helps and leads us to act according to His character and will. We have the best Counselor! Let us take hold of everything Christ has already won for us and live the victorious life that comes from a forgiven heart full of gratitude.
16. Hebrews 12:28
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.

No one can shake the kingdom of God that we have received thanks to the work of Jesus on the cross. In the face of the uncertainties of this world, the heart fills with gratitude when we think about the incomparable inheritance we have in Christ.
Let us express our gratitude to the Almighty! Let us raise songs of worship with all our hearts, serving the Lord with a reverence and awe inspired by His majesty and love.
17. Ephesians 5:19-20
Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Gratitude to God is an essential part of our worship to Him. A grateful heart praises the Lord without reservation and encourages others to praise and thank the Heavenly Father, the giver of all good things.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Our prayer life should be constant and not just focused on asking for God's favor. Prayers filled with thanksgiving renew the spirit, bring joy, and help us draw closer to God, recognizing His movement in our lives.
